 The Debate and Essay Competition ‘Universality of Human Rights’

 

The British College of Applied Studies, prominently  known as “BCAS’ is renowned for its excellence and brilliance in introducing and successfully conducting several diplomas, graduate and post graduate courses with major successes. The Bachelor of Law programme- LLB (Hons) awarded by the University of Wolverhampton, UK, is remarkably one of them.

 

The BCAS law school has successfully produced the first batch of LLB graduates who are presently sitting their attorney-at-law examinations at the law school. It has a team of qualified, experienced and capable lectures who have proven their capability and competence not only in producing future lawyers but significantly training the law students in programmes and activities which provide the students to bring out their aptitudes, skills and talents.

 

The BCAS has organized several training programmes and public exercises like debate competitions, essay competitions, speech competitions, and legal quiz sand moot practices. On 12th October 2013 it held Debate Competition on human rights and also award giving ceremony for the winners of Essay Competition on the theme of ‘Universality of Human Rights.

 

The function was graced by the chief guest Mr. Abdul Rahman (the chairman of the BCAS) and by the guest of honour Mr. Priyantha Gamage (Attorney-at-Law and Human Rights activities) and also by the law students, lecturers and other invitees. It was a successful completion of another drawing event as the performers’ stunned and entertained the crowd with their exceptional, outstanding and extraordinary performances.
