BCAS Campus – “Sound of Light” Photography Exhibition
Spectra Media Club of BCAS Kandy campus successfully organized the “Sound of Light” Photography exhibition v2.0 for the second consecutive year, the event was held on 15th and 16th of June 2015 at the college premises, more than hundreds of vivid photograph belonging to Spectra Media Club members and schools were exhibited during this exhibition, a large number of audience visited the exhibition regardless of the bad weather.
BCAS Spectra Club was established to support and guide the HND in Multimedia students, in addition to contributing to the industrial innovation. Apart from giving guidance for project development the faculty supports the studies and research of BCAS students throughout their course. The centre also facilitates students to gain valuable exposure to developing contemporary industrial solutions that are innovative, effective and practical.
On the second day 16th June 2015 Judges paid the visit and selected the winners from each category. Photographs were submitted for Landscape photography, Macro photography, People (portrait), Nature (Wildlife), Fine art photography and building & architecture. Mr. Wimal R. Bandara, Mr. Mahesh Ganganath, Mr. R. Vijayakumar & Mr. Mohamed Zamny were the judge panel. There were huge competitions between photographs.
BCAS Sound of Light v2.0 Photography Exhibition 2015 was an ideal platform to showcase the talent and innovation of BCAS students as well as to contribute to the Multimedia awareness of the masses. Visitors could gain knowledge in industrial applications as well as enjoy a good dose of edutainment through multimedia photos. While kindling the interest of IT especially among students of all levels, the exhibition will undoubtedly provide a glimpse of the contemporary job market heavily riding upon futuristic multimedia photography developments.
